Yes, if dwelt in...

Reflect and correct by all means, but always swiftly forgive yourself and others. Releasing negative emotions swiftly is infinitely better than carrying them with you.

There were two seeds planted in a field... one came up and was a food that would bear healthy fruit, the other was only a thorn, a tare. One seed fell by the way and was crowded out by the thorns, but another seed fell amongst good soil, and gave forth some 30 fold, some 60 fold, some 90 fold.

The good soil is that which feeds the food-plant... and that which doesn't feed the thorns that crowd out the food-plant.

But even if there are thorns in our field... we may still have hope that the beloved plant might grow if we tend to it and nurture it.

Just submitting an alternative viewpoint on much the same idea.

This is absolutely true. Our realities are what we focus on, so if you focus on the negative this is what you will experience. We have the ability to choose. Thanks for sharing.

I used to believe this old parable but i have come to realize that it's not about picking one side and getting rid of the other

it's simply recognizing that we are capable of all things and being responsible for the choices we make, whether we deem them good or bad

They all serve a purpose and that is why they are there.

One of my favorite stories of all -- this one would serve us all well to remember! One of life's biggest lessons for sure!
