My Twitter account was suspended quite mysteriously
around 10 AM UK time yesterday, September 19th. See
Why has Twitter suspended my account?
It was restored equally mysteriously around 9 PM
yesterday although I only became aware of it when
going online around 10.30 AM today. I know it was
restored around that time because HootSuite were
able to publish my scheduled tweets from 9.10 PM
onwards, having earlier failed to do so.
I had contacted Twitter Support yesterday,
contested my suspension, and demanded immediate
restoration of my account and an apology. But, while
my account was swiftly restored, Twitter have made
no reply or apology.
God moves in mysterious ways, they often say. But I
can assure you all from my personal experiences that
the ways of Twitter and Twitter Support defy any
comprehension whatsoever!
May God bless Twitter and all who sail in her! And may
God greatly bless all of you for patiently awaiting the
restoration of my account.

Great news Philip. I knew they would restore it.
I was reading a twitter manual to spot a spambot on twitter and one of the point was strange username. Probably that was a reason of your suspension in the first place. http://bt.io/D1z

Congrats your a/c was restored. This is the first time I heard of an account being disabled.
The fools at Twitter did wrong but rectified the matter within 10-11 hours.
It seems wrongful suspensions are all too common.

My account was also suspended – no reason. Left numerous messages on the help/comment with not 1 single response. Just closed my account. Question. How did you contact and any ideas on who to contact for an explanation on my suspension? Almost don’t care anymore but there is a part of me thinking that this whole thing is so unjust.

Twitter is unjust and I understand your frustration and upset very well.
Following my wrongful suspension, I have pursued Twitter and I am still pursuing them. A lengthy, insightful post about this matter should appear here in the next few weeks. You can then make up your own mind on whether or not you should pursue Twitter.
